MerTek is operated by ManorSoft, Inc. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using mertek.ai, the MerTek web app, and the MerTek desktop app.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as email address, display name, login provider identifiers, access tokens, and account/device records needed to authenticate you.
- Device and local runtime information such as hardware tokens, app version, operating system, update status, service status, and diagnostic events needed to operate the local app.
- Usage and security information such as requests, timestamps, browser type, IP address, audit events, error reports, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Support communications, chat and file-share content you choose to send to other users, and any files, messages, or metadata you choose to send to us.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar browser storage used for login, preferences, referral attribution, security, and product operation.
Local-First Work
Agent work usually stays on your machine unless you choose to upload, share, or send it through MerTek.
How We Use Information
- Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve MerTek.
- Authenticate accounts and connect browsers, local runtime hosts, and installed apps.
- Publish and validate downloads, updates, release manifests, and installation flows.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about product, security, and service changes.
- Detect abuse, enforce terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect users and the service.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with infrastructure, hosting, analytics, security, payment, email, and support providers that help us run MerTek; with other users when you choose to send or share data through chat, file shares, or collaboration features; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Retention
We keep information as long as reasonably needed for product operation, security, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, and legitimate business records. Local data stored on your machine is controlled through your local operating system and the MerTek local app.
Your Choices
You can stop using the service, uninstall the local app, clear browser storage, or contact us to request help with account access, correction, export, or deletion. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, accounting, backup, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for MerTek, but no system is perfectly secure. Keep your account credentials, devices, and local machine secure.
Children
MerTek is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as MerTek changes. The effective date above shows when this version was published.
